![]() | This is me at the Taste of Chicago 2003 enjoying a slice of Eli's cheesecake. The Taste of Chicago is an annual event in which hundreds of restaurants set up a tent in the Lincoln Park and sell food. This is a week-long event and most "Chicagoans" will actually go there for dinner every day during that week. I was in Chicago a whole month before the Taste and my roommate told me I should at least make a trip to the Taste once if I wanted to have the "real" Chicago experience. You can find anything from Chicago style pizza, ribs, funnel cakes, Chicago dogs, and even cajun alligator. | |
![]() | While I was in Chicago this summer, I had a great time taking pictures of the numerous high rise buildings in the downtown area. I'm from a big city but being in Chicago was like comparing New York to Gainesville. Chicago is in a world of its own. | ![]() | This is Wrigley Field, Home of the Chicago Cubs baseball team. During my stay in Chicago, I was unable to attend any of the home baseball games. I snapped this picture because I thought I would at least say I've seen the stadium even if I've never been inside. On the day that this picture was taken Wrigley Field was being used for a concert so the streets were packed with people trying to find parking spaces and pedestrians rushed in and out of traffic. |
