During this past summer, I also got a chance to visit the great state of Alaska with my dad.
Born and raised in Florida, it's a different world but is absolutely spectacular!
"Seward's Folly" my ass.
Clean air, magnificent animals, and icebergs galore, our 49th state may be the most beautiful of them all.
We traveled on the Alaskan Railroad from Anchorage up to Denali National Park (home of
the hightest mountain in North America: Mount McKinley 20,320 feet). This beast is certainly something to
behold (I did not take this picture, if you didn't guess that already).
Alaska's splendor rises from the fact that it remains so untouched by humans. Did you know that you can fit the land area of the Lone Star State (Texas, duh) inside Alaska two-and-a-half times?! Wow!!!!! Cold you say...hell yeah it is. But believe it or not, Anchorage in the summertime is great... temperatures reach into the 60's and even the 70's. Just watch out for those other 9 months. They're a little rough. Now that I feel I am part of the Chamber of Commerce, here is the actual Chamber of Commerce. http://www.alaskachamber.com
