D. Nathan Baliva

Full Name: Dominic Nathan Baliva Born: February 20, 1978 St. John's Hospital Springfield, Illinois Parents: Dominic Alan and Juliana Baliva Siblings: Zachary Alan Baliva (b. 1981) Childhood: Lived in Springfield, Illinois (the State Capital) from 1978-1986; Family built a house in the "new" Quail Meadows subdivision in Chatham, Illinois (10 miles south of Springfield) and we moved in July 1986. My parents still reside in that gray house while my brother is in his senior year as a film student at Columbia College in Chicago and has started his own production company, Crosseyed Pictures, and writes, directs and produces his own short films. Family heritage: Both of my parents were born in raised in Springfield, IL. On my dad's side, my grandpa Mario was born in Celano, Italy in 1912 and soon immigrated to the US. My grandma Grace was born in Rochester, New York and moved to Springfield, IL in 1939 after marrying Mario. On my mom's side, Dennis Barrick grew up in Fairland, IL (near Champaign) and married Marvene Thompson in 1938 before serving in the US Navy during WW II. Schools attended: Little Flower Parish, Springfield, IL (k-4); Ball Elementary, Chatham, IL (5th); Glenwood Junior High School, Chatham, IL (6-8); Chatham Glenwood High School, Chatham, IL (1996 grad) Colleges: Marquette University, Milwaukee Wisconsin, 1996-2000 graduated May 22, 2000 with a degree in Broadcast and Electronic Communication with a minor in Marketing. Also spent Fall 1999 studying at St. Clare's in Oxford, England. Currently in my third semester as a Sports Communication Graduate Student at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.
