I spent the majority of my formative years in Naples, Italy. Our neighbors were like family to my parents and me while we lived there. We've kept in contact sporadically.

I decided that since I was closer to Italy than I had been in many, many moons I'd travel down there. Not to mention the weather in Holland encouraged me to depart. When ducks can walk on canals, I decided I was outta there. It was so cold that parts of the canal froze. You could still see water flowing, but chunks large enough to support the weight of a medium sized duck were all over the place!! Needless to say, this isn't an event this Florida-girl is accustomed to.
