Heather's Hobbies
I received my undergraduate degree in English and I love to read! I enjoy reading classics from Jane Austen and Shakespeare, but I also like chick lit and books from Debbie Macomber. I have a passion for fashion which is shown through my love of shopping and reading fashion magazines. My favorite magazine is InStyle!
Now Reading:
- 50 Harbor Street, by Debbie Macomber
- My Life in France, by Julia Child
- Road Racing for Serious Runners, by Pete Pfitzinger and Scott Douglas
- Skinny Bitch, by Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin
- Clotilde's Edible Adventures in Paris, by Clotilde Dusoulier
I also like to workout and run long distance. I ran cross country and track in high school, and I am starting to get back into the routine of running everyday. It is my goal to eventually run a half-marathon. I plan on running the Five Points of Life Marathon in Gainesville in February (on Valentine's Day!) so send lots of encouragement my way!
Go Gators!
I have been attending football games at the University of Florida since I was 10 years old. My dad graduated from UF and indoctrinated me into fanhood from a young age. I met my boyfriend here freshmen year as well, and he is an equally rabid fan. I love attending Gator sporting events, especially football, volleyball and basketball. I have even met the last three football coaches! UF means a lot to me and I truly bleed orange and blue!
Living in a college town has been great because there is always something interesting happening on campus: lectures, concerts, movies screenings, and more! I try to take advantage of the inexpensive quality entertainment. I particularly enjoy attending the dance and theatre performances. The best concert I've ever been to was the Tom Petty concert here, and I got to see Riverdance my freshman year.
