I'm one of those people who don't have one thing they are really passionate about. Instead, I try a lot of different things. I'll be crazy about doing something for a certain period of time, but that time eventually expires and I move on. This was the case with soccer, basketball, water polo, scrapbooking, baking and drawing. Once upon a time, these were my hobbies. But then, for some reason, I got tired of it and moved on. True, I still like to revisit scrapbooking and drawing every now and then, but not enough to deserve the title "hobby." So what do I do?

I don't do as much as I would like to. Being a junior in college taking weed-out classes for my major doesn't leave a lot of free time, and the little I get is ususally spent sleeping or just being lazy. I also got a puppy, Koda, a few weeks ago so now I REALLY don't have time to go back to my regular hobbies. Instead, I'm either walking him, petting him or cleaning up his pee off my carpet. Oh the joys of pet parenthood. Truth be told, adopting him was one of the best decisions I've made in a long time. Having a dog makes every day so much more exciting and I love my little Koda.
On those rare days when I get enough time to do something fun, I love to go rock climbing at the Gainesville Rock Gym (the next best thing in Florida) and mountain biking. Gainesville has a ton of really fun bike trails that my boyfriend and I used to go to every weekend last semester. Some are nice and relaxing and others are a pain in the ass. I hate biking uphill. Coincidentally, I have to bike uphill EVERY DAY to go to class. Typical.
Obviously, this semester is really busy for me and there's not much time left to do the things I really enjoy. But I intend to make up for it next year. Once I get these classes out of the way, I'll be able to hit up the rock gym every week and go back to doing my regular bike rides. I can't wait. Two more months!
