My Hobbies

Sports I like to Play

I have always enjoyed sports and outdoor activities. I have played women's fast-pitch softball since I was in fifth grade. I played on an elite team in middle and high school, and have basically traveled around all the small towns in Florida playing ball. Now I no longer play fast-pitch. Instead I have been playing slow-pitch softball on my father's co-ed recreational team.

Another sport I love is badminton. Growing up I had a badminton court permanently erected in my backyard. Badminton is fun because it is really easy to get good at it, so it is a great game to play at parties. I also love the satisfaction I get from beating my guy friends.

Something else I really enjoy is yoga. I have been doing yoga on and off for about six years. My favorite kind of yoga is Bikram Yoga, which is also called "hot yoga" because you do yoga it in a 100 degree room for two hours. Unfortunately, classes are getting quite expensive, so I have been experimenting in other styles. My current favorite yoga pose is the headstand.

My favorite books
  1. The Field, by Lynne Mctaggart
  2. American Gods, by Neil Gaiman
  3. The Harry Potter Series by J.K Rowling
  4. All books by Carl Hiaasen

For Bikram Yoga classes in Gainesville, go to Big Ron's Yoga College.

I really enjoy exercising, including running and lifting weights. I have even recently gotten into racquet ball.

I also really like hiking, kayaking, skimboarding, and just enjoying outdoor nature activities.

I also love to read. I hate classic novels. The books I like immediately pull you in and are entertaining page-turners.
