As I said on my main page, what I like to do more than anything is play the guitar. I actually only own one electric guitar, a 2000 Fender American Deluxe Fat-Strat. This guitar is extremely versatile and very well-made. It plays as well today as it did the day I bought it, if not better. I picked up the guitar when I was 9 years old. I always liked rock music, and since the electric guitar is the staple of rock music, well that's what I wanted to do. I remember the day I asked my parents if I could take guitar lessons. Little did I know how much that day would change my life.
Lately, I've been trying to incorporate modes into my guitar playing. Modes, to put it as simply as possible, are scales started on a note other than the scale's primary note, called the tonic.
My favorite guitar player, which changes pretty regularly, is Trey Anastasio of, you guessed it, Phish. He's the best improvisational guitar player I've ever heard.
Some of my other favorite guitar players include: Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix and Jerry Garcia.
