Starlette

miami

A star was born 25 years ago in Jacksonville, Florida. While growing up I have always been very active and the center of attention. Believe it or not, I'm still that way! I'm Starlette, and yes that's my real name. Mostly everyone who meets me always states, "Whoever named you gave you the right name because you are 'truly a star' ", and believe it or not I do feel I am. My Grandfather is the person who gave me this wonderful name and I love him for doing so because I honestly think I have one of the coolest names in the world, and it fits my personality. I love when I surround myself with other strong-minded women who feel like they are on top of the world and who's always ready to lend a helping head or good words of encouragement. Being a leader means a lot to me, along with empowering & having the ability to make a difference in everyone's path I come across. I'm currently in the process of starting my own business, Like a Star. I love style and what a breathtaking stiletto can do for a woman. I adore the ability to turn a simple outfit into a piece of art, the Mona Lisa, and I'm the artist, Leonardo da Vinci. I find something magical about how an outfit can boost someone's self-esteem. Whether you're appearing on the red carpet, a social event, or just a laid back party, Like a Star is here to give you the look everyone will continue to love months later. I'm also a closet designer & event coordinator. I guess you can say I'm the go-to person when you want to feel "Like a Star". Besides starting my own business, I'm currently employed at Nationwide Insurance and enjoy my co-workers including the customers I help each day on the job.

College

I'm a Telecommunication student at the University of Florida. I'm a very outgoing person and have been involved in a lot of campus organizations during my years at UF. I've also had the opportunity to intern and work at a local radio station here in Gainesville while in college, Magic 101.3. I was an on-air personality, Star the All-Star, and a programmer for Gospel 1430. While working at the radio station, I had the opportunity to meet a lot of artists and do a great amount of community service events throughout Gainesville.
