Growing up a white guy in a low-income, predominately black area of Tennessee gave director Quentin Tarantino one of the more interesting perspectives of pop culture. His films always captivate me, and the way he shows the grit of his characters is a humbling reminder that our world is far from flawless, but definitely livable if you are aware and alert.
