Part of a journalist's job is to document history, people and events. I am currently working on a multimedia project where I will document my family's history.

My dad's side of the family is one of five families of French nobility that can be traced as far back as the 12th century. My grandma knows a lot about the family history several generations before her. My goal is to interview her about the family in December. I will also ask my grandma to recall the most significant moments in her life.

I hope to accomplish this project by creating a multimedia slideshow and documentary by collecting photographs, taking live footage and audio, and photographing the life of my grandparents.

I have made it my goal this semester to create three preliminary projects to help me prepare for the ultimate interview with my grandparents.

My first project was a multimedia video about the Student Alumni Association giving out BEAT T-shirts before home games. My friend Steve Johnson and I documented the event and put together a video.
