Random Skills
I'm a naturally curious person (good quality for a journalist, right?) so I've done a ton of different things, such as SCUBA diving, improv, sketch comedy, and Model United Nations. These are just random skills I've picked up while at college, but there are a few consistent hobbies of mine.
Photography
Ever since middle school, I've been experimenting with photography. Recently, I've been lucky enough to have a friend who is a professional photographer, and we often go out to take pictures. I've learned a lot so far. Photography is quickly becoming a passion of mine.
Writing
I was that kid in elementary school who wrote crazy, inventive stories. I still do that. I love to write not only news and feature pieces, but I also love writing stories and poetry. I hope that one day I can incorporate all forms of writing into my career.Here is one of my most recent writings.
Dear Sensitivity,
I regret to inform you that since your departure my eyes no longer flicker at the glow of a new flame. The fire you once kept ablaze has died. Apathy has made its home here, smoldering all remaining embers. I am inquiring why you have left me cold. Solitude, to whom I have taken refuge in, can not comfort me much longer.
Return to me, and together we shall illuminate the heavens with our united spirit.

Sports
Whenever I am stressed or worried about something, sports are my outlet. I play soccer, ultimate Frisbee and volleyball in the UF's intramural teams. I've played soccer since France won the 1998 FIFA World Cup. I've loved it ever since. I picked up volleyball in middle school and played with a club team for a while. I started playing ultimate Frisbee this past summer because I was bored. Now, I'm looking at joining Fuel, a Frisbee club team at UF.
