Websites

I own many websites. These websites keep me very busy and make me money to pay for college. I hope to start a big website to make even more money in the next few weeks.

SEC Sports Hub

When I first got into website creation, SEC Sports Hub was my original project. I had literally no knowledge of how to create a website, how one worked or anything. Since SEC Sports Hub was started, it has changed Content Management Systems (CMS) three or four times.

Now, SEC Sports Hub is one of the most respected authorities on the web for Southeastern Conference sports news. It uses Joomla! as it's CMS and also contains a bridged Simple Machines Forum, which serves as a message board for our loyal fans.

SEC Sports Hub is fan and away my biggest money-maker and it has helped to pay my rent and tuition for the past two years. Having such a good content management system has made publishing breaking news stories a piece of cake and I can literally update the site within minutes.

Joomla! has worked wonders for my site and I've begun to delve even further into HTML, CSS and PHP since beginning the site. Web design and content management systems intrigue me immensely and SEC Sports Hub helped to allow that interest to blossom.

Florida GatorStop

My second website was the Florida GatorStop. Initially, my intention was to create the GatorStop to offer myself a personal outlet for my Florida Gators thoughts. This gave me a seperate avenue in which I could be a bit more personal, and perhaps biased, whereas SEC Sports Hub is a very factual website.

In addition, the Florida GatorStop provided me a nice one way link system for SEC Sports Hub to help build the Google PageRank of my premier site.

However, since founding the Florida GatorStop, I've found that I don't have nearly as much time as I thought I did. I hope to rev back up the GatorStop engine, but currently it's a blog on hold.

Gatoroogle

Gatoroogle is my latest website project. The principle of the site is very simple - it is a search engine portal to Google designed for Florida Gators students, faculty, alumni and fans.

The site makes money using Google's AdSense for Search API. This money is then donated to the University of Florida to aid with the budget crisis. The website s HTML is extremely basic and I hand coded the site in less than 24 hours.
