Elizabeth's Guide to the Best of Baltimore
There's No Place Like Home
When I'm not practicing public relations, or catching up lost sleep, I can be a lot of fun. Here are some of my favorite Baltimore hang-outs.
-
Camden Yards - Ok, I'll admit that the O's aren't the greatest baseball team out there, but Camden Yards sure is one of the most beautiful stadiums in all of baseball. The field is built in front of a former B &O Railroad warehouse. Take a guided stadium tour and learn aboutthe park's rich history.
-
The Walters Art Gallery - There is nothing more relaxing than spending a leisurely Sunday afternoon at the Walters. My all-time favorite exhibit is Bedazzled: 5,000 Years of Jewelry, which features original Tiffany pieces.
-
Fort McHenry - I'm a dork, I'll admit it. I never get tired of visiting Fort McHenry and learning about Baltimore's role in the War of 1812. Did you know that Francis Scott Key wrote "The Star Spangled Banner" in the Baltimore Harbor?
-
The National Aquarium in Baltimore - The Aquarium has always been one of my favorite Baltimore attractions. From my favorite shark exhibit to the exotic tropical rainforest, the aquarium never fails to keep my mind swimming. But watch out if you are sitting in the "Splash Zone" during the dolphin show.
