Future/Goals/Aspirations
There are so many things I want to do in my life. Let’s begin with the near future. I am so excited about next year because I get to travel to three places that I've been dying to visit. I am participating in the 2010 Weigold Study Abroad Program. I will be traveling to Ireland, London, and Italy. This will be my first time traveling outside of the United States. This program is wonderful because I will be traveling with other UF journalism and communications students and faculty. As far as my more distant goals, professionally I am open to going many different avenues. Although I’m a journalism major, I am extremely interested in computers. I love technology and using my creativity through designing web pages. The best thing about my major is that I can still be a journalist and work with multimedia. One of my ultimate career goals is to work for a major magazine publication. Since I love to travel, I feel that journalism is a great way for me to receive plenty of travel opportunities. Unlike many people, my main objective in life is happiness. I am not concerned with being a multi-millionaire or being someone famous. All that matters to me is that I achieve my personal goals and make a difference in at least on person’s life. As far as non-career aspirations, I would love to have children. I think that I have a lot of love to give and that is what children need the most in life. I am a very ambitious person and I want to one day accomplish all of my goals. I just hope that when I do get older I will have a nice balance between work-life and family-life.
