An Opening
Information
As you might have already guessed, my name is Matthew Ryan Beaton. I am 23 years old, and I live in Gainesville, FL. There, I attend the University of Florida, where I am pursing a Master's degree in journalism. Currently, I am on track to graduate in May 2010.
Further Information
Now, after I graduate, I hope to find a job in the journalism field. If that does not work out, then I will seek a job in some other part of the communications field. My next preference would be in advertising. I have a business marketing degree from my undergraduate studies, and I believe that I have a natural aptitude for business. Thus, I would feel very comfortable working for an advertising agency.
Right now, while I am in school, I write business and sports articles for The Gainesville Sun. Generally, I write one type of each article per week, and occasionally, I will have three articles run in a week.
Also, I blog for a college student website called stu's view. In addition to these responsibilities, I work for UF's School of Natural Resources and Environment. There, I function as their webmaster and double as the office secretary.
