Historical buildings
In the middle of the city centre stands the Dom Tower. This 600 year old tower is the highest in The Netherlands and when you climb the 465 steps to get up in the tower, you will be rewarded with an amazing view. Attached to the Dom Tower is the Cathedral. You can walk through the garden right besides the Cathedral and sit down to enjoy a cup of coffee. It's nice to have a such a tranquil place in the middle of such a busy city.
Food
When you visit Utrecht you should definitely eat Dutch food. It's not really on the menu in that many restaurants but you can buy it in supermarkets. If you don't feel like cooking yourself, you can always contact me and maybe I'll be able to cook for you.
Clubs & Bars
Dutch people know how to party, clubs don't close until the last customer leaves! Two places I recommend are De Winkel van Sinkel and Filémon en Baucis. In Utrecht the majority of the people is young and is a student. No wonder there are so many little bars everywhere. Most prices aren't very high, everybody keeps in mind that students often live on a budget.
